The course takes runners through the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, crossing the M25 by bridge, through the picturesque village of Denham where it picks up the Grand Union Canal tow path for the final run into London. The finish is at the Little Venice canal basin a surprising tranquil setting but in the heart of London next to Paddington station. The terrain is a mix of country trails and canal towpath

“A great team effort through the 43 miles. First half had its fair share of a muddy slip n slide & unavoidable puddles. Then a long stretch of plodding in the dark along canals fuel'd by sugar and grit. A real mix of calmness, pain and adrenaline spread across the day. Made easier by the high team spirits and crew aiding us along the way. I loved the event and look forward to the next challenge. Thanks to Intrepid for the opportunity, onto the London Marathon!” Rob

Crispin and Alex at the end - 11 hours
“After completing my second ultramarathon this weekend, I feel a satisfying mix of fatigue and accomplishment; my legs are sore, yet noticeably less so than after my first ultra, perhaps signalling growing strength and endurance. Now I need to focus on speeding up ready for the London Marathon in April.” Alex
“After a dodgy start where i feared even the first checkpoint would be a challenge, things got better despite an early fall in the mud.  the end of the cross country stage was welcome, as were the fresh trainers and socks!  Given the disrupted training for this I was happy to get that far but as we got into the towpath I started to think the whole thing could be possible, and lo and behold we trundled into town at around 8pm to a welcome hot tea.” Crispin
